We joke that our credits rival those of the blockbuster Avatar because of the vast number of people that were a part of this grassroots production. See below to explore the many individuals and organizations involved in the making of More Than a Roof.
Producers
National Economic and Social Rights Initiative
In partnership with communities, NESRI works to build a broad movement for economic & social rights, including health, housing, education and work with dignity.
Based on the principle that fundamental human needs create human rights obligations on the part of government and the private sector, NESRI advocates for public policies that guarantee the universal and equitable fulfillment of these rights in the United States
Campaign to Restore National Housing Rights
The Campaign to Restore National Housing Rights (CRNHR) is a national coalition led by grassroots organizations working across the country to call on the U.S. government to reclaim its historic commitment to fulfill its human right to housing obligations and ensure decent housing for all. CRNHR members began working together to create a national identity and platform for people most affected by federal housing policy to hold the government accountable to fundamental human rights standards.
Housing is a Human Right is a storytelling project that collaborates with communities, organizations and individuals to share stories of their ongoing experiences trying to obtain or maintain a place to call home. HHR is building a collection of intimate, viscerally honest narratives exploring the complex fabric of community and the human right to housing and land. HHR shares these narratives as audio stories, photographs, multimedia and video across multiple platforms.
